Why servers pour glasses too full at a restaurant or a party.
One of the most common errors in wine service is that your wine glass is poured too full so you can't swirl. At more casual restaurants they either don't know better or advise their staff to pour heavy so that the bottle is used up more quickly and the host will have to possibly order another. If you see this happening, ask the server to pour the glasses half-full the next time round.
